Government Project
This week is an exciting week in government class as well as at Goodpasture. With Homecoming this Friday and floats happening all week, everyone is excited and full of school spirit.
We have been talking this week in Government class about political parties and beginning our study of the executive branch. On Wednesday (for A days) and Thursday (for B days) I am assigning the big project for the semester. In groups, students will be putting together a Presidential campaign. They will pick someone to run for President and then create all of the necessary campaign material. This project will be worth 150 points. Students will have 3 class periods to work on the project at school. There will be some required time outside of class as well. The projects are due on November 16 (for A days) and November 17 (for B days).
I will attach the assignment sheet and the rubric for the project to an email.
I am so excited about this project. It is a big hit with students every year and a fun way to learn more about the executive branch!

Tomorrow all of our Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors begin work on Homecoming floats. Then next Friday, we will celebrate Homecoming with a parade, crowning ceremony, and football game. Then the next Friday is the girls powder puff football game. October is going to be a very busy but fun month here at Goodpasture!
